Portsmouth – William M. Dillahay, 28, of 304 McLean St. died Tuesday
at 3:41 p.m. in Williamsburg. He was accidentally electrocuted while
setting tile for a construction project.
He was a son of Lewis Dillahay of Portsmouth and the late Mrs. Elsie
E. Brinkley Dillahay. He was a Methodist and a member of the Loyal
Order of Moose, Lodge 898.
Besides his father, he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Clara
Tipping of Pascagoula, Miss., Mrs. Berta Mae Criddle, Mrs. Barbara
Lee Brown, and Mrs. Vivian J. Blair, all of Portsmouth; and a
brother, Lewis H. Dillahay Jr. of Portsmouth.
The body was taken to Snellings Funeral Home, where a funeral
service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Olive
Branch Cemetery.
